It's the BOM, Stupid

Service semantics are likely to come from "Industrial Service Parks":
Business Object Models are the closed world semantic models for industry.^*

SAP, IBM, Oracle are creating "gated communities".

There will be interoperability among them, eventually.

All of the service communities will be using these common semantics.

We need to work with, even inferior, industrial models in order to be relevant.

We need to have formal interfaces to these BOMs.
