The survey also looked at the number of domain names in each
country. Korea, which had the most domain names per country
in January 2000, had dropped to third position by the end of the
year. This decline could be explained by an economic slowdown,
according to the Korean Network Information Center.
In first place was Britain, with Canada coming in second.
Germany was in fourth position, followed by Turkey, Japan,
Spain, France, China, and Italy.
