components inserted into a distributed
application without prior agreement
on very much.
The DAI community has done a lot
of work on ontologies.
Current efforts are on
Semantic Web
The e-commerce reliance on XML-based
defiitions and namespaces is probably naive,
but DAI has no firm advantages to offer
except for understanding the issues.
But it is instructive to reconsider
peer-to-peer.
