These are not agents - there are no surprise
messages in some sense.
Diffusing computations can have complex protocols
based on peer-to-peer communications
Can prove nice properties, like termination.
And surprise messages make it difficult to
prove nice properties. Agent behavior
may be inherently uncertain. (Kind of like the Internet
versus ATM)
Emergent behaviour will depend upon properties
of agent reasoning mechanisms, not just protocols.
Peer-to-Peer is necessary
but not sufficient condition for agenthood.
