Future: the Vanishing Agent

• Good for prototyping - need tools like ACL Compilers
• Control is still an issue - need predictive theories of agent behavior
• But probably old Agent technology will vanish into XML
  • Just as AI technologies have been absorbed
  • "Intellegence" per se is overrated
  • ACL replaced by XML-based flexible workflow
  • Inner language replaced by
    XML-based Common Business Language, other protocols
Research suggestion:
Look at similarities between current ACL and workflow drafts.

ABSE is a distinct technology and should drive the next generation of E-commerce.
