An Additional Rquirement for Agenthood
Define surprise as a kind of exception message.
- "Requests can be formally defined with respect to a given protocol.
- "Replies" to a given request can be formally identified by explicit unification and protocol definition, known to all agents within a distributed computation.
- Previous definition required a comparison of performance of a given application for client/server and peer-to-peer protocol usage.
- Now additionally require that degradation of performance be attributed to missing/additional messages of a certain kind.
"Exception" messages cannot be unified with a reply.
Replies to "Trace" are not exception messages.
