We assemble in Kilarney for Mona's (Jack's baby sister) 50th Birthday celebration. I work in Galway for Mon-Wed first and then rent a car to catch up with the other Californians who fly in on Thursday.

• 3-5 April 06 Ina shows Xia and me how Galway development is encroaching on old Ireland
• 6 April 06 I drive the rental car from Galway to Kilarney and catch up with Nancy, Linda, Robert, Elaine, and Jack at the beautiful Lake Hotel in Kilarney
• 7 April 06 Nancy and I tour Dingle.
• 8 April 06 - afternoon After Dingle, we relaxed back at the Lake Hotel where Robert showed us tricks. Then we had a fine dinner in town. The next day, we all go for a walk with Mona in the Irish National Forest. Nancy and I climb Mount. Torc and tour the Muckross House.
• 8 April 06 - evening A huge assemblage gather's to celebrate Mona's birthday. This includes a surpise video showing of her life after dinner.
• 9 April 06 Nancy, Linda, Robert, and I drive from Kilarney to the Cliffs of Moher via the Shannon estuary ferry and then on to spend the evening in a nice B&B owned by Chris in Doolin. We photograph a funuary church from 1500AD, have a great dinner at the Lazy Lobster, and then enjoy the music at McGan's pub.
• 10 April 06 We drive from Doolin via the Aillwnee Caves and the Poulnabrone Dolmen in the Burren. Linda and Robert stay in Ennis. Nancy and I drop the rental car in Limerick where we see King John's Castle, just across the river from the Treaty Stone where Ireland got its independence. On the taxi ride to the airport, we pass by the Bunratty Castle.
