design course mailing list during a week of 
"competitive product benchmarking" exercises. In
<a HREF="http://me210.stanford.edu"> ME210 </a> corporate
sponsors present projects that they would like students
to work on.
BMW had just introduced their project with the tantalizing
suggestion that a Z3 or other model might be available for the 
student team to test.
