Abstract:
Surprise and delight, how we take real corporate performance to the next level?  Innovation is the engine.  What is it?  How does it work?  Can we deliver precision innovation?  We define innovation as the constellation of processes that discovers ideas and transports them into successful business services.  Innovation creates new financial, intellectual, and social capital.  Absent a theoretical framework, innovation and technology management processes tend to evolve slowly because they are throttled by risk aversion.

This presentation reviews the state of design thinking research, innovation science, and the pursuit of tools and methods for accelerating predictive product realization.  The issues come together in a bold new initiative, the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford.  You will learn where we came from, how we manage, and where you can expect to see our impact.
