SHARE:
A Methodology and Environment for Collaborative
Product Development
SHARE is an
DARPA
DSO
(formerly SISTO)-sponsored project, administered
with the assistance of ONR,
under the
MADE
program and is partially funded by
Navy contract SHARE N00014-92-J-1833. The participants are EIT and Stanford's CDR and SIMA.
Design Space Colonization
is the project that replaces SHARE as of Fall 1996.
Increasingly, product development will involve teams of people from
multiple organizations working together over networks, supported by
computation and information services. The objective of
SHARE is to provide the enabling technology that will support
design engineers by allowing them to access helpful information
over the network not typically available to a single user environment.
SHARE Pages to Visit
-
Next-Link is a SHARE project to develop a generic agent and
framework that will coordinate the work of other engineering agents,
especially in the case of conflicts.
-
MADEFAST is an ambitous experiment conducted
by
ARPA MADE contractors.
-
CONCUR is a tutorial hyperdocument
describing architectures, protocols, languages and ontologies to
support agent interaction for engineering applications.
- ME210 Design Class
is a SHARE-sponsored collaborative design class.
-
ONR SHARE Report for 1994 describes the SHARE activities for
that year.
-
ONR SHARE Report for 1995 describes the SHARE activities for
that year.
-
ONR SHARE Report for 1996 describes the SHARE activities for
that year.
-
ONR SHARE Report for 1997 describes the SHARE activities for
that year and is the final report for the project.
- CDR SHARE
DesignNet is a network directory
of mechatronic design
and engineering services.
- CDR SHARE
Scenario is a suggestion for trying
out DesignNet.
- The CDR projects can be viewed from a
SHARE
perspective.
- Some CDR projects are directly
SHARE subprojects.
- EIT is directly supporting much of the CDR SHARE
research as well as
producing particular delieverables. See the EIT
SHARE description.
