Document Authoring/Retrieval Page
Design Notebook Authoring/Retrieval Resources
There are five MADE and DICE
related projects that are prototypes for authoring and/or
retrieving design documents that would be useful for
an electronic design and engineering notebook.
- The
DICE
MECE project, sponsored by
Lockheed, is an authoring environment for mechanical designers so
that they can share ongoing design information with collaborators on
the network.
-
Active Documentation of Designs, sponsored by the KSL, creates virtual documents,
such as requirements documents, email discussions, and training
manuals, from system models and simulation data.
-
ME210 Documents
have been translated into HTML and are WAIS-searchable.
This work was performed at the
CDR.
-
DEDAL is a
CDR and NASA-ARC
project that uses device modeling for the indexing of multimedia
design knowledge. This is an outgrowth of the
vamcs Electronic Design Notebook, an earlier
GCDK
subproject that has led to a
commercial version.
- The
GE CE-Toolkit includes electronic notebook
functions that capture Frame and Word documents.
