One goal of DEDAL is to provide an integrated environment for retrieval, indexing and device model acquisition. We hope to provide an environment which would enable the designer to index and acquire a device model in synchronization with the creation of design documents. In addition, the designer could define new indexes for retrieved documents via relevancy feedback. We see the three tasks supporting each other and providing a seamless environment in DEDAL.
