The above illustrates the position profile and the resultant forces. The
position is a frequency modulated sinusoid, fastest near the beginning of
the expansion stroke, and slowest near TDC before intake. At time=0s, the
piston is at TDC about to begin intake.
The equivalent mean crankshaft speeds for the four strokes are:

This waveform was sent to Aerotech as a certification of the maximum
capabilities of their motor/amplifier system. Essentially, any waveform
