APPLICATIONS:
These Position Sensing Instruments are designed for one and two-dimensional absolute optical positioning or for precision centering and nulling requirements using a quadrant detector The optical beam is focused on the appropriate detector The photocurrent generated is processed by a four channel amplifier system using a position sensing algorithm to give an X, Y analog output which is directly proportional to beam position, independent of intensity fluctuations. With the appropriate optical configuration, this X-Y normalized output provides a solution for numerous applications.
The ON-TRAK OT-300 is designed to provide an X-Y
position output and sum output from duolateral
tetralateral single axis. quadrant and bi-cell position
sensing detectors. The OT-300 has four transimpedance
amplifiers and signal processing electronics to provide
a normalized position and sum output. The OT-300
has five gain settings to accommodate input current
ranges from 1nA to 2mA with a frequency response to
15KHz. A convenient ZERO adjust allows the user to
electrically move the zero to a relative position on the
PSD. A CAL adjust allows calibration to absolute position.

OT-300L AMPLIFIER FOR DUOLATERAL PSD:
The OT300L is a printed circuit board amplifier designed
for direct integration into users instrumentation. It is
optimized for duolateral Position Sensing Detectors
(PSD's) with adjustable bias voltages and three switch
selectable gain ranges. The OT300L contains all the
circuit elements to add subtract and divide detector
signals very accurately. Precision op amps and precision
resistor networks provide the addition and subtraction
operations and optimized analog dividers provide the
final ratio. This analog divider provides the highest
linearity available over a very wide signal range. The
final stages provide +/- 20% adjustment in the X and Y
outputs and also serve as high performance output
buffers for driving long cables. A sum signal is also
provided which equals the total detector signal and
is proportional to the incident beam wattage.

The ON-TRAK PM-Processing Board, together with the
PM-1D and PM-2D Preamplifiers. PM-Preamp Cable and
PM-Serial Interface Board form a complete general
purpose system for non-contact measurements using
ON-TRAK 1L- and 2L-Series Position Sensing Detectors.
The PM-kit, comprising the above mentioned boards, is
ideally suited for evaluating the PSD technology in
