PENS

PENS (Personal Electronic Notebook with Sharing) is a collaborative, Web based electronic notebook that facilitates lightweight, informal authoring of design notes. It features graphics tools, importing of images, and requires no knowledge of HTML to use.

Currently, PENS is being used by ME210, a graduate course in electromechanical design at Stanford that emphasizes geographically dispersed, project based learning. PENS has been found to be an effective tool for enhancing group work while richly documenting the design process.
