CDR Industry Affiliates Program
Membership Options
There are two options for research cooperation as part of the CDR Industry Affiliate Program, in conformance with Stanford University Policies.
- Visiting Research Fellows: The affiliate places a corporate staff researcher at CDR with office and lab space near the center of the campus. The fellow shares access to the laboratories of one or more CDR Principal Faculty. The arrangement is typically based on the definition of a project of mutual interest. Fellows receive an immersive experience within one of Stanford's premier innovation incubators. The Annual Fee is $85,000.
- Joint Project Experiences:Research and Development projects of mutual interest give companies access to CDR's global, multicultural, multidisciplinary research environment through participation in new and on-going research. Projects typically involve a combination of engineering design synthesis, design tool development and design thinking studies. Affiliates are invited to attend an annual workshop where current and future projects are reported and discussed. The Annual Fee is $85,000.
